Orlando Flores reclaims the top spot at 75.5 points, Jeff Kardas is right there at 75.0 and breathing down his neck, Todd Sewell sits third at 73.5. Three players within 2 points at the top with six weeks left is not a comfortable cushion for anyone. Meanwhile Tom Pehr fired a 40 gross — cleanest card in Monday's field by a country mile — and barely got any credit for it because Brian Shields matched his net anyway. This league is genuinely unhinged. Let's get into it.

Brian Shields shoots 47 but nets 37 on a 9-stroke handicap. Pehr nets 36. The match ends 5–5. You can only control what you control, and what Pehr controlled was a near-perfect round that still left him with half the points. He's at 70.0 points and solidly fourth — which is impressive and probably maddening in equal measure. On the bright side: best Gross Ringer of the season? Tom Pehr, hole 3 this week, now holds a 3 there.
Thomas Jaramillo quietly put up a 7–3 week. Jaramillo shoots 47 gross (net 35 on an 11 handicap) and beats Mike Keefe 7–3. That's Jaramillo's second straight strong result — 4.0 pts vs Joe Olson last week, 7.0 this week. He climbs to 63.0 and takes 8th place, pushing past Andy Dean. Oh, and he wins CTP on Hole 2, which means Jaramillo now has a CTP to his name. First one of the season for him.
Jeff Kardas took a 7.5–2.5 over Jimmie Rains. Kardas shoots 43 gross (net 39 on a 4 handicap), Rains shoots 55 gross (net 43). That's a 4-stroke net gap, and Kardas swept the hole points as a result. More importantly: this gets Kardas to 75.0 total points — he's now tied for second with Todd Sewell breathing down his neck at 73.5 and within striking distance of Orlando at 75.5. These three are now separated by 2 points. Six weeks left. Math is very much still happening.
Paul Rael beats Orlando Flores 6.5–3.5. Orlando shot 41 gross (net 37) and still lost. Rael cards a 44 gross but nets 35 on a 9 handicap. That's a 2-shot net advantage and Rael rode it to a convincing win. Orlando drops to 3.5 points for the week — not ideal for a man trying to hold the points lead. He still leads at 75.5, but Kardas is right there. The back half of this season is going to be uncomfortable for whoever's in first.
Brit Harvey takes Andy Dean 6.5–3.5. Andy Dean, who has been on an absolute tear recently (38 gross two weeks in a row), shot 42 gross this week — still perfectly respectable — but Harvey nets 37 on an 11 handicap and takes the match. Brit Harvey moves to 55.0 points (12th) and picks up a win in a matchup he needed. Dean stays at 61.5 (9th). This is a league where even a bad week for Andy Dean is still 42 gross.
Sean Winters didn't show, and the card match was scrapped. The original plan had Paul Rael playing as the odd player against Orlando's card score, with Orlando facing Sean Winters live. When Winters went absent, the field dropped to 12 — even numbers, no card match needed. Paul Rael played Orlando directly instead. This is the second time this season that Winters' absence reshuffled the whole format. He's still sitting at 27.5 points over 5 rounds, and every week he misses is a week the field pulls further away.
